ORLANDO - The National Basketball Association is a players league, so they say. It is the league of men who need no last name – Kobe, LeBron and so on. Coaching is more of a negotiation at this level, an attempt to reach peace with the players while keeping things moving toward a common goal.

LOS ANGELES -- Celebration turned to near riots in Los Angeles after the Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic to win the NBA finals Sunday.
